Chapter 5 - Nothing Gold Can Stay

5/3/2015

Analyzing a poem: "Nothing Gold Can Stay" by Robert Frost.

In chapter 5, Ponyboy and Johnny take some time to admire a beautiful sunset. Johnny says, "It's too bad it can't stay like that" to which Ponyboy responds, "Nothing Gold Can Stay."

Today we are going to analyze Robert Frost's poem, "Nothing Gold Can Stay" and then look for a common theme between the poem and the lives of our characters in The Outsiders.
