Vocabulary.com Step 1: Idioms - read this sectiona and watch this sweet video.An idiom is an expression that is not to be taken literally, but has an understood meening within a culture. For examample: It's raining cats and dogs does not mean cats and dogs are literally falling from the sky, but it is understood to mean it is raining really hard. Sometimes several idoms can all mean the same thing. For example, say you got sick last night and vomitted. Most of us don't say "vomit" but use idioms or expressions. Can you think of idioms that mean to vomit? Step 2: Write down 3 idioms that mean "to vomit" from the picture below.
