Goodbye Letter - Point of View
"Since I don't plan on making it back alive a second time, the sooner Gale lets me go, the better. I do plan on saying one or two things to him after the reaping, when we're allowed an hour for goodbyes. To let Gale know how essential he's been to me all these years. How much better my life has been for knowing him. For loving him, even if it's only in the limited way that I can manage. But I never get the chance." ~Katniss
"...And I'm left staring out the window, watching District 12 disappear, with all my good-byes still hanging on my lips." ~Katniss
R.A.F.T.
R (Role) You are District 12 Tribute Katniss Everdeen. You are on your way to the Capitol to prepare for the Quarter Quell games. This time, it is a one-way trip because you have made it your mission to get Peeta home alive.
A (Audience) Prim, your mom, Gale or Madge.
F (Format) A personal letter. (At least 100 words. Counted!)
T (Topic) You did not get the chance to say goodbye to your family and friends before leaving for the Capitol. Knowing that you will not be returning home this time, you have a lot to say. You do not think you are very good with words, but you are! Write a letter (as if you are Katniss) to either Prim, your mother, Gale or Madge telling them goodbye.
